Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) pkg of egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans of tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) pkg Hiland Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Hiland Cottage Cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Liberally spray a 9×13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cook egg noodles according to package directions.
  • While egg noodles cook, heat oil a skillet over medium high heat.
  • Add ground beef and onion, until fully cooked, breaking up ground beef with spoon.
  • Stir in garlic, cook an additional minute. Stir in tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Drain egg noodles, stir into ground beef mixture. Set aside.
  • In a bowl stir together cream cheese, cottage cheese and parmesan cheese.
  • Place half the ground beef-egg noodles in pan. Top with cheese mixture, then top with remining beef-egg noodles.
  • Cover and bake for 20 minutes, serve warm with additional parmesan cheese if desired.
