Missouri has two Hiland Dairy Processing Plants, one in Kansas City and the corporate headquarters in Springfield. This page is dedicated to Hiland Dairy in Kansas City, Missouri.
Hiland Dairy Kansas City is located on Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and began in 1959 as Sealtest Dairy, producing fluid milk products and ice cream. During the next 60-plus years, the local dairies consolidated, and the market changed. The plant underwent various ownership and name changes like Fairmont, Fairmont-Zarda, and Roberts. And in 1991, it changed to a fluid-only production facility.
Hiland acquired the plant in 2013 and implemented numerous expansions and upgrades. Today, the plant produces approximately 2.7 million gallons of milk each month. We also make and bottle orange juice.

We support many different organizations and events to invest in the community. Some of our favorites are the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, Missouri State University, Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, and the Springfield Symphony. All summer, you will also see us at Springfield Cardinal games handing out Hiland Dairy Products.
We have a complete recycling program for metal, cardboard, plastic, batteries, and oil to reduce our carbon footprint. All recycling is tracked and recorded to be as eco-friendly as possible.
We know our employees, customers, and consumers expect the best, so we aim to be the best in everything we do every day. We do things right, from our partnerships to our food safety procedures to our environmental policies, because that’s the only way we know.
