Turn an ordinary batch of brownies into these Santa hat brownie bites. Top these with peppermint whipped cream made from fresh Hiland Dairy Heavy Whipping Cream, and you have a festive sweet treat everyone will love. These delicious bites are perfect for any holiday celebration and will bring extra cheer to anyone with a sweet tooth!
Place medium size glass bowl in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes to chill.
Mix and bake fudge brownies according to package using required package ingredients (water, egg, and oil). Let cool completely.
Once the brownies have cooled, cut out circles using a round biscuit or cookie cutter.
Pour cold whipping cream, sugar, and peppermint oil into the chilled bowl and whisk on high speed until medium to stiff peaks form. Be sure not to over beat.
Transfer whipped cream into a piping bag or cake decorating tool. Pipe a ring around the outside of each brownie circle.
Place one strawberry upside down and pipe a small drop of whipping cream on the tip of the strawberry to create the ball of the hat.
Repeat until all the Brownie Santa Hats are made.
If you can’t find peppermint oil (I found mine at a large crafting supply chain), peppermint extract works well, too!
