It’s October! And we all know what that means…sweets, sweets and more sweets around your home. Let’s face it, October is a candy-laden month and our kiddos usually don’t make the healthiest choices. However, I’ve picked up some candy-crushing tips that will help you and your kids keep the treats at bay.
Keep healthy snacks in sight at all times, including Hiland Dairy Yogurts, Hiland Dairy Cheeses, veggies and Hiland Dairy Dips.
Keep some sugar-free gum around and if they are looking for something sweet, then get chewing! This will keep their chompers occupied and the sweet cravings away.
Move bags of candy to a closet or in the back of the food pantry. Pull a piece out once a day when the kids simply need a sweet treat.
