Dalgona Whipped Coffee – Hiland Dairy

Dalgona Whipped Coffee

Dalgona whipped coffee is delicious and is easier to make than what you might think. After giving this a try, I found the flavor balance of whipped coffee coupled with ice-cold Hiland milk to be spot on. Add your own flavor profiles and this coffee trend turns into the perfect morning pick-me-up or afternoon drink treat. I made two variations and they both turned out delicious.

Chocolate Cookie Mocha Dalgona Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 – ½ cups Hiland Dairy Milk
  • ¼ cup chocolate sandwich cookie, crumbled, plus extra for topping
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cocoa powder

Instructions:

Add ¼ cup cookie crumbles into the bottom of a glass. Slowly pour the milk over top leaving about ½ inch at the top for the whipped coffee.

In a bowl, mix the instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water with a hand mixer until foam starts to form.

Sprinkle in the cocoa powder and continue to beat at high speed until the ingredients become thick enough to form peaks and turn a golden toffee color.

Gently spoon the frothy whipped coffee onto your cookie milk. Top with extra cookie crumbles and drink up!

Caramel Dream Dalgona Coffee

Ingredients:

1 – ½ cups Hiland Dairy Milk
2 tablespoons instant coffee
2 tablespoons boiling water
2 tablespoons caramel syrup for coffee
¼ cup caramel ice cream topping

Instructions:

Pour the caramel topping into the bottom of a glass. Slowly pour the milk over top leaving about ½ inch at the top for the whipped coffee.

In a bowl, mix the instant coffee, caramel syrup and boiling water with a hand mixer on high speed until the ingredients become thick enough to form peaks and turns a golden toffee color.

Gently spoon the frothy whipped coffee onto your caramel-flavored milk. Drizzle the top with extra caramel ice cream topping

Diva’s Tip: Play with the flavors! Add sweetened pumpkin puree to the milk and cinnamon and ginger to the whipped coffee for the fall. Or, make peppermint mocha coffee for the chilly holiday season. Simply add some hot cocoa mix to warmed milk and a drop or two of peppermint extract to the whipped coffee topping. Top with chocolate curls or crushed candy cane.
