Eggnog Waffles with Cinnamon Whipped Cream
Ingredients
Eggnog Waffles
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups Hiland Dairy eggnog
- 10 tablespoons Hiland Dairy butter (melted)
Cinnamon Whipped Cream
- 1 cup Hiland Dairy heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, Hiland Dairy Eggnog and Hiland melted butter. Pour the eggnog mixture into the flour mixture and mix together until just combined.
- To make waffles, spray the waffle maker with nonstick spray and pour about 1/4 to 1/3 cup batter into the waffle maker. Cook each side 2-3 minutes and then remove. Repeat with remaining batter.
- In a large bowl, combine the Hiland Dairy heavy cream, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer and whip until soft peaks form.
- Top waffles with whipped cream (and butter and syrup if you’re feeling fancy) and enjoy!
