Creamy Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Hiland Milk
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus additional for serving, optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips, plus additional to serving, optional
  • whipped cream (optional)

Directions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and salt. Cook stirring constantly until just simmering.
  • Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and stir until all chocolate is melted.
  • Serve warm topped with whipped cream, chocolate chips and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice.
