Ingredients
For crust
- ¾ cup cold Hiland Butter, diced into pieces
- 2 cups flour
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ cups semisweet chocolate chips
For topping
- 2 cups pecans, coarsely chopped
- ½ cup Hiland Butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- ⅓ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon salt
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
For crust
- Place butter, flour, light brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a food processor. Pulse until mixture is well combined. Press mixture evenly into bottom of a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Bake until firm and lightly brown, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over top. Set pan aside.
For topping
- In a saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the dark brown sugar, honey, cream, and salt. Simmer for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Stir in the pecans. Pour the pecan mixture over the chocolate-sprinkled crust, spreading evenly.
- Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool completely.
- Slice.
