Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
- 2 tablespoons prepared dijon-style mustard
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups Hiland Dairy Orange Juice
- 2 tablespoons Hiland Dairy Butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Coat chicken evenly with mustard and place in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped onion and ¼ cup of the brown sugar. Add enough orange juice to cover chicken, reserving the remaining orange juice and place butter on top. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove chicken from baking dish and pour sauce into a saucepan. Add chicken back to baking dish and sprinkle chicken with remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and return to oven for 10 minutes.
- In saucepan, whisk flour into sauce. Add leftover orange juice and heat on high until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer chicken from oven to serving platter, pour the sauce over the chicken and serve.
