Ingredients

  • 3 cups Hiland Vitamin D Milk
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1 (12 oz) can condensed milk
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • ½ cup of raisins
  • ½ cup pecans, diced
  • Ground cinnamon for dusting optional

Directions

  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat combine water and cinnamon and salt.
  • Bring to a boil. Stir in rice, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally for 10-15 minutes.
  • While rice is simmering in another saucepan over low heat warm milk, evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk.
  • Add the warm milk mixture over the rice, stir, and reduce the heat to low.
  • Simmer for about 15 minutes (uncovered), stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in raisins and pecans, simmer an additional 10 minutes.
  • Serve warm.
