Ingredients
- 3 cups Hiland Vitamin D Milk
- 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 (12 oz) can condensed milk
- 3 cups of water
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- ½ cup of raisins
- ½ cup pecans, diced
- Ground cinnamon for dusting optional
Directions
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat combine water and cinnamon and salt.
- Bring to a boil. Stir in rice, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally for 10-15 minutes.
- While rice is simmering in another saucepan over low heat warm milk, evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk.
- Add the warm milk mixture over the rice, stir, and reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for about 15 minutes (uncovered), stirring occasionally.
- Stir in raisins and pecans, simmer an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve warm.
