Give your zombies and ghouls just what they are craving this October with The Dairy Diva’s Spooktacular Chocolate Peanut Butter Pancakes! They’re easy to make using Hiland’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Milk. So when it’s time to give your little devils a homemade breakfast on Halloween morning, don’t be afraid…just conjure up a little Hiland Halloween Spirit!
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth. Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Pour the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides. Cut the sides of on pancake (or more if needed) to create stems for the pumpkins. Cut pads of butter in shapes for the eyes and mouth. Place on pancakes. Serve warm and top with syrup.
My kids loved these without syrup or butter. Make a second batch, throw them in the freezer and warm them up later for after school snacks or a quick breakfast.
