Raising Awareness for Breast Cancer, 5 Years Running

You could say raising awareness for breast cancer has become a bit of a tradition for us. 2015 marks the fifth consecutive year Hiland Dairy will donate up to $25,000 to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) through Hiland for Pink.

Why Breast Cancer Awareness?

We all have friends or family members who have been affected by breast cancer and we have enjoyed supporting BCFO by raising awareness and funds to help alleviate the immense physical, emotional and financial strain on not only the victims, but also their friends and family. We hope our support helps to reduce those burdens on those affected, while providing assistance, awareness and education for early detection and prevention. Along with community education, mentoring programs and support groups, the BCFO assists with free mammograms, and it is the only local organization providing non-medical financial support for those facing hardships as a result of breast cancer.

How Can You Help?

We depend on our customers and friends to help us accomplish this awareness and financial support year after year. So how can you help? Well, for starters, you can simply enjoy select Hiland Dairy products. From July 1 – September 30, 2015, we are donating 5¢ for every Iced Coffee, Lactose Free Milk and YoPhoria sold and 20¢ for every 4 Quart Pail of Ice Cream sold.

We are also donating $1 for every new Facebook fan we receive during this time frame. If you’re already one of our beloved Facebook fans, you can still help by spreading the word about Hiland for Pink to friends of your own!
