Stress is a killer. It leads to high blood pressure, depression, anxiety and a host of other health issues. It comes in many forms. It can be caused by work, family, school or just about any situation life throws at you. As if that weren’t bad enough, somebody went and dedicated an entire month to stress (as if we needed reminding).
So, we here at Hiland Dairy figured we’d make the best of it and take the opportunity to help reduce everyone’s stress levels a bit. After all, that’s the whole purpose of this blog: to highlight recipes, tips, tricks and other so-called “life-hacks” to help you save money and time — the two things that most often lead to stress.
Now we have something brand-new that will help lower your stress even more. It’s a free four-part email series that focuses on meal planning. That may not sound too exciting at first, but think about it for a second. You look up at the clock at work, see that it’s nearing 5 p.m. and suddenly realize you haven’t figured out what’s for dinner yet. Unable to see the contents of your fridge and cupboards, you have two options: Hit the grocery store on the way home and whip up a meal from scratch, or pick something up from a restaurant or fast-food place.
The risk of the first option is you may purchase ingredients you already have, adding unneeded cost to your meal and possibly creating unnecessary waste. The second option almost certainly will cost more than cooking dinner yourself and will likely be less healthy. Both scenarios can lead to unnecessary stress.
So, we encourage you to sign up for the Meal Planning With Hiland email series. Each email is full of useful advice and delicious, easy-to-make recipes that will delight your whole family while saving you both valuable time and money.
It’s time to plan those meals, kick stress to the curb and return April to its rightful owner: spring.
Thank you for signing up!
