Hang in there, Divas…the holidays aren’t over yet! For many of us, this means more shopping, more baking and more traveling. Don’t worry! The next time you pack up the car to travel over the river and through the woods, keep these road trip hacks in mind:
Make a Mini Fridge
Fill up repurposed Hiland Dairy cottage cheese and sour cream containers or milk jugs with water and freeze them overnight (be sure to leave enough room at the top of the container to let the water expand as it freezes). Pop them into an insulated bag to make a mini fridge if you’re traveling with side dishes or snacks for the kids.
Charge It
Don’t forget to recharge your electronic devices…phones, tablets, laptops…the night before you hit the road so your batteries don’t run out of juice just when you need them!
Write It Down
Create a to-do list and make sure everything is checked off before heading to grandma’s house. You don’t want everyone to be bummed if you forget your special apple pie in the fridge at home.
Diva’s Tip
Always have an emergency kit, extra protein bars and blankets packed. Better to be safe than sorry!
