Perfect for barbeques, weeknights, or whenever you want a no-bake treat

Juicy, caramelized peaches meet cool vanilla ice cream in this simple dessert. It’s ready in minutes and guaranteed to wow any summer gathering.

Whether you’re hosting a cookout or just enjoying a warm evening on the patio, this easy grilled dessert is a must-try. With just a handful of ingredients, you can whip up something that looks (and tastes) gourmet but takes almost no effort.

Why You’ll Love This Grilled Peach Dessert

  • Quick & Easy – Ready in under 15 minutes with only 3 ingredients.
  • Naturally Sweet – No need to add a ton of sugar; the grill brings out the peaches’ natural sweetness.
  • Perfect for Summer – Take advantage of peak peach season!
  • Family-Friendly – Kids love it, grown-ups love it—especially with a drizzle of honey or caramel or a sprinkle of sea salt or cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Here’s what you’ll need to make these creamy fruit and yogurt popsicles:

  • Fresh Peaches – Ripe but still firm for best results.
  • Vanilla Ice Cream – My favorite vanilla ice cream is from Hiland Dairy; creamy with the perfect vanilla flavor. I love the contrast of the cold ice cream to warm grilled peaches.
  • Olive Oil, Canola Oil or Melted Butter – Helps caramelize the peach surface on the grill.
  • Optional Add-ons: Honey, caramel sauce, chopped nuts, cookie crumbles, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

How to Make Grilled Peaches with Vanilla Ice Cream

  1. Preheat your grill to medium high heat.
  2. Halve and pit the peaches. No need to peel them.
  3. Brush with oil or butter. This prevents sticking and helps with caramelization.
  4. Place cut side down on the grill and cook for about 4–5 minutes until grill marks form.
  5. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and your favorite toppings!

Tips for the Best Grilled Peaches

  • Use freestone peaches—they’re easier to pit than clingstone varieties.
  • Don’t overcook! You want tender peaches with nice grill marks, not mush.
  • Serve immediately for the best warm-and-cold contrast with the ice cream.

Variations to Try

  • Boozy Peaches: Splash a little bourbon or rum over the peaches before grilling.
  • Spiced Peaches: Add a dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg before grilling.
  • Switch up the Ice Cream Flavor: Try Hiland’s Butter Pecan or even Chocolate Ice Cream

Serving Suggestions

  • Grilled meats like chicken or pork for a sweet-savory combo.
  • Summer cocktails like peach sangria or sparkling lemonade.
  • Other grilled fruits like pineapple or bananas for a fruit-forward dessert platter.

FAQs

Can I grill peaches without a grill?
Yes! Use a grill pan on the stovetop or broil them in the oven for similar results.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Grilled peaches are best fresh, but you can prep them earlier in the day and reheat them briefly before serving.
What if my peaches are too soft?
Go for slightly firm peaches. If they’re too soft, they may fall apart on the grill.
