Frightfully Fun Milk Jug Witch
Create a Witch Windsock Using Hiland Milk Jugs
I hope you’ve been saving your Hiland Dairy Milk gallon jugs, because fall crafting is about to get exciting! Check out this adorable witch windsock you can make with a few crafting supplies and a repurposed milk jug. It’s super cute and easy!
What You’ll Need:
Hiland Dairy Milk jug
Green spray paint
Black plastic tablecloth
Black permanent marker
Large googly eyes
Glue gun
Glue sticks
Tacky glue
Red acrylic paint
Paintbrush
Scissors or craft knife
Witch’s hat
Clear fishing line
Orange ribbon (optional)
Instructions:
Rinse jug and remove label with warm soapy water. Allow to dry completely.
Spray paint entire jug. Allow to dry completely, at least 24 hours.
Cut several strips from the tablecloth.
Tip: I made my strips approximately 12 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.
Cut off 1/2 inch of the milk jug handle at the top, near the opening. Then cut a round hole for the mouth.
Turn the milk jug upside down and draw eyes, eyebrows and warts using a black permanent marker.
Glue the googly eyes inside your eye shapes. Allow to try completely.
Using a glue gun, adhere the tablecloth strips to the bottom of the milk jug to create hair. Allow to dry completely.
Tip: I cut the strips at varying lengths after gluing them on the milk jug to create a hairstyle for my witch.
Paint red lips around the mouth opening. Allow to dry completely.
Glue the witch’s hat on top of the “hair.” Allow to dry completely.
Tie fishing line to the top of the hat.
Hang in a tree and be the envy of the neighborhood!
Diva’s Tip
Add a few orange ribbon strips to the witch’s hair for a pop of color.
