There are many things that make Halloween a happy holiday but one stands out the most — candy! Toss aside the boring pillowcases and paper bags. Create this festive Franky pail that is the perfect holder for your kiddos’ candy. Simply cut a large opening on top of Franky’s head and you have a caddy for your little ghouls and goblins as they ding-dong their way to mountains of candy.
Clean the pail with warm, soapy water. Towel dry completely.
Gently remove the handle from the ice cream pail and set aside. In a well-ventilated area, spray paint the outside of the pail and the top of the lid.
Cut varying lengths of the black yarn for the hair and eyebrows.
Tip: Separate into same-size sections for easier application.
Spray the lid with bond adhesive. Immediately place four or five pieces of yarn at a time side by side until no plastic is showing. Slightly press the overhanging yarn downward over the lip to form bangs. Let dry completely.
Glue the eyes and eyebrows onto the center of the pail with tacky glue. Paint a mouth and stitches. Let dry completely.
Place the lid on top of the pail. If you are using this as a trick-or-treat caddy, be sure to cut a large opening on top of the lid.
You can make a wrapped mummy, too. Paint it white, add some googly eyes, and wrap the whole pail in gauze.
