It’s time to gear up for back to school, and a good start is to get your kids crafting. Put the kiddos to work with this easy school supply holder. Watch the wheels start turning as they think about how they’ll put the supplies to good use during the school year.
Wash the cottage cheese container with warm, soapy water. Towel-dry completely.
In a well-ventilated area, spray-paint the container and both sides of the lid. Allow to dry completely. Tip: Use touch-up paint when needed.
Cut the lid approximately 3/4 of the way around and on opposite sides, as shown.
With the glue gun, adhere the “back” part of the lid to the container.
Decorate the container with fun decals or ribbons.
Load the container with school supplies like pencils, crayons, markers, scissors and glue sticks, so it’s all ready to go on the first day of school.
You don’t have to make the lid the way I did. Instead, you can simply place the round lid on the container like normal.
