DIY Charging Station
Everyone needs a place to charge their phone. Instead of finding a spot on the floor or fighting over the last charging cord, make your own charging station that fits your personal decor and style. All you need is a Hiland Dairy half-gallon milk carton and yogurt cup, some spray paint, glue, and a crafting knife!
DIY Charging Station
Wash the milk carton and yogurt cup with warm, soapy water and towel dry.
Cut off the spout and cut down all four sides of the pouring end of the carton.
Cut the non-spout and its opposite side down to about 1/2 inch.
In a well-ventilated area, spray paint the inside of the milk carton. Let dry completely.
Glue the flaps closed making sure to leave a half-circle from where you cut off the spout.
Spray paint the outside on all sides a different color from the inside. Let dry completely.
While the carton is drying, spray paint the yogurt cup silver. Let dry completely.
Create a rectangular template with a small notch at the bottom. Be sure to make a rectangle as wide as your phone.
Create a round template the size of the yogurt cup.
Carefully cut out the phone rectangle on one side of the carton and the circle on the other side.
Push the yogurt cup down into the circle until it is flush with the milk carton.
Snake a charging cord through the half-circle. Charge your phone when your battery is low!
