This day speaks my language – National Chip and Dip Day! When I have friends and family over, I always try to add protein to most everything I serve. This is why I make a cheesy bean dip. Not only is there protein in the cheese and sour cream, but in the beans as well. Here is my favorite:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine soup, taco seasoning, sour cream, salsa and half of the cheese. Mix well.
Spoon mixture into an oven-safe baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes.
Serve immediately with your favorite corn or tortilla chips.
Spice it up as much as you like using a hotter salsa. Also, I use Hiland Dairy Sharp Cheddar Cheese for an extra punch of flavor!
