Ok, this is for real, we swear. The deal is pretty simple: On May 18, you choose to not dirty any dishes. That’s it.
So how do you do that? One option is to go out to eat and let somebody else do the dishes for you.
But even if you can’t afford to take the family out to eat, other options allow you to keep your “no dirty dishes” pledge and still enjoy a family meal. One would be to eat dinner at home as you would normally but use disposable plates and cutlery. We recommend using biodegradable forks, knives and plates, to minimize the environmental impact.
However, the most fun way to comply with “no dirty dishes” day is to drink your Hiland Dairy Milk right from the jug and eat your Hiland Ice Cream right from the carton. We realize it goes against every impulse in your brain, but trust us; you can do this.
Just think of the thrill as you rebel against societal norms with every gulp of farm-fresh milk! Imagine the excitement as you throw propriety to the wind with every spoonful of rich, creamy ice cream! And who knows? Maybe this is just the beginning. Maybe you’ll defy other conventions and discover a whole new you.
You play by the rules 364 days of the year. Why not make May 18 your one day to grab life by the collar and bellow into its stern, disapproving face, “YOU’RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!” Take it from us; you’ll be glad you did.
Oh, and you won’t have to do any dishes either, which is nice.
Thank you for signing up!
