Instructions

  • Brownie Layer
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9×9 pan with nonstick spray or line with parchment paper.
  • Melt the butter and 1 cup chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl for 30 second increments until melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, mix the sugar and brown sugar together using a wooden spoon or spatula. Add the butter/chocolate mixture and stir again until just combined.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time and stir after each one. Add the vanilla and mix again.
  • Add the flour, cocoa and salt. Stir again until just combined. Fold in the remaining chocolate chips.
  • Set aside about ¼ cup of the brownie batter. Pour the remaining batter into the prepared pan. Set aside.
  • Cream Cheese Layer
  • In a medium bowl, add the Hiland Dairy Cream Cheese, egg, sugar, and vanilla. Use a hand or stand mixer to mix all the ingredients together until smooth.
  • Add the orange food coloring to the cream cheese mixture. Mix one drop at a time and mix by hand until you achieve the desired color
  • Pour the orange cream cheese layer over top of the brownie layer and smooth out evenly.
