  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixer bowl, cream together the butter, Crisco, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and beat until well combined.
  • Mix in the lemon extract.
  • Alternate adding the flour and milk, mixing after each addition until everything is fully incorporated.
  • Grease a baking pan with butter and dust with flour.
  • Pour or scoop the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for about 1 hour, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool before removing from the pan.
  • Extra – make some icing and ice your slice.
