Easy Peach and Berry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Hiland Dairy Butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup Hiland Dairy Milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups frozen fruit (peaches and berries)
  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided (1/4 cup of sugar to toss with fruit & 1/4 cup of sugar on top of the cobbler)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Melt the butter in an 8 inch cast iron skillet (a larger skillet does not work as well).
  • Toss together 1/4 cup of sugar with the fruit.
  • Add the fruit to the bottom of the cast iron skillet.
  • Mix together the milk, flour, vanilla and 1 cup of sugar.
  • Pour over melted butter and fruit.
  • Do not stir.
  • Sprinkle the last 1/4 cup of sugar on top of everything.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, or until slightly brown.
