Chocolate Cheesecake

Ingredients

1 cup sifted flour
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 cup Hiland Butter, softened
1 1/2 cups Hiland Cottage Cheese, sieved
3-oz. cream cheese, softened
3 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 squares (1 oz each) semi- sweet chocolate, grated
3/4 cup Hiland Sour Cream
chocolate curls

Preparation

For crust, combine flour, powdered sugar and butter, mixing until smooth; press evenly in an 8" pie pan; prick several times with fork. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes; set aside. Beat together cottage cheese and cream cheese until fairly smooth; add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in sugar; beat until very smooth. Sprinkle half of the grated chocolate over the cooled crust; pour half of the cheese mixture over grated chocolate. Repeat layers. Bake at 325° for 1 hour, or until knife inserted in center tests clean. Spoon sour cream evenly over top and cool completely. Garnish with chocolate curls.

Yield: 10 to 12 servings
