What Being Green Means to Us
Taking good care of the land helps ensure healthy cows…and wholesome dairy products that are delivered fresh from a farm in your area to your favorite grocery store. Most importantly, it sustains quality of life and makes the world a better place for future generations. Protecting the environment is nothing new to Hiland Dairy because caring for the land is what most of our dairy farmers/owners have done for more than 70 years. At Hiland Dairy, we promote the three pillars of sustainability:
- Reducing waste to reduce consumption and preserve precious resources.
- Reusing what we can through practices such as using manure to fertilize cropland.
- Recycling our resources through practices such as encouraging recycling of milk crates and product packaging.

Milk Crates Wanted!
Each year, hundreds of milk crates are lost or stolen from Hiland Dairy, which means we have to replace them with new ones. We’d much rather recycle and reuse our existing milk crates to help reduce waste and protect the environment for generations to come. Find out how you can help…
